This Capstone series is perfect for anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of building interactive, dynamic Web applications using the .NET framework. Students will learn the fundamentals of the framework using either C# or VB.NET (examples and exercises provided in both!) and get an introduction to the .NET Base Class Library. Then they will move on to ASP.NET, and learn to put their skills to use building interactive feature-rich Web pages. Students will learn to work with Visual Studio 2008, leverage server controls to build rich Web interfaces, work with ADO.NET and data bound controls, and manage session and application state.
WestLake’s Advanced .NET Programming Capstone Series teaches students to work with intermediate and advanced features in the .NET framework. The first part of the class provides in-depth coverage on a number of intermediate and advanced tools and techniques in .NET including reflection, delegates and events, threads, and a deeper look at ADO.NET and XML support. It uses examples in a number of execution contexts including the Web (ASP.NET) and Windows Forms. The second part of the class provides an in-depth look at a number of advanced technologies in .NET, with a focus on features of the .NET framework that emphasize multi-tier and distributed architectures.
WestLake's Advanced ASP.NET Web Programming Capstone Series teaches students to work with intermediate and advanced features when developing Web and distributed applications in the .NET framework. The first part of the class provides in-depth coverage on a number of intermediate and advanced tools and techniques in ASP.NET including reflection, delegates and events, creating custom server controls, caching for performance enhancement, and a deeper look at XML support. The course also teaches advanced techniques in working with data bound controls using ADO.NET and SQL Server. The second part of the class focuses on Web Services in .NET. Students will learn to build and consume Web Services, and get a fundamental understanding of SOAP and WSDL, XML-based standards at the core of this technology. The .NET framework provides robust support to develop and debug Web services quickly and easily.
In this Capstone you will learn the fundamentals of object oriented analysis and design process, using Unified Modeling Language as the diagramming technique in the context of a Web-based enterprise application.
