Does your current Web site need more energy or do you want to take your Web design career to the next level? Flash CS3 is the industry standard for creating Web sites that are enhanced with multimedia animation. Flash allows you to produce rich and impressive animation while keeping the file size small enough to stream seamlessly over a normal modem connection.

You will be given the opportunity to use your creativity and exercise your new skills by completing an extensive, real-world case study. Create your own site with an expert instructor present for immediate feedback and assistance. Your capstone project can then be used to enhance your portfolio.

By the end of the class students will be able to:

  • Build complex Flash movies that feature more than simple animation
  • Build a Flash Web site by separating timelines into individual 'pages' to create Web site sections
  • Using ActionScript, learn to control the timelines of multiple movie clips. Using multiple movie clip symbols, create complex and well organized animation
  • Learn to construct animated drop-down menus that reveal context-specific choices activated by a mouse over
  • Use ActionScript to achieve interactivity
  • Build animated cursors
  • Add zoomable content to your site
  • Incorporate dynamic forms and learn the difference between dynamic text and input text
  • Debug scripts
  • Create a drag-and-drop shopping cart application
