This five-day SOA Capstone teaches students the fundamentals of Service Oriented Architecture. The first two days cover the foundational knowledge needed to design, develop and implement enterprise class SOA solutions. In the final three days, a case study with extensive hands-on labs and exercises is used as the scenario for building a SOA solution containing two clients, a legacy service and a new service. Round-table discussions and collaborative interactions typically found in a software development environment are used throughout the course.

By the end of the class students will be able to:

  • Understand Data Access Layers
  • Create a Web service
