We will explore the ITIL Version 3 Lifecycle Model and the details of the processes that underpin it. For each ITIL process, we will focus on the information needed to pass the Foundation certification exam, discuss how it applies to a case study organization, and give you the opportunity to consider how it would apply in your own organization. Practice exam questions will be used generously to drive the concepts home and prepare you for exam success.

By the end of the class, students will be able to:

  • Explain the ITIL Lifecycle approach to IT Service Management
  • Identify the ITIL processes and how they relate to each other
  • Begin to implement ITIL processes in an organization
  • Pass the ITIL V3 Foundations Certification exam

Who should attend:

Anyone who is involved in defining, providing or supporting IT services, including IT managers, analysts, technicians, operations personnel, help desk operators, and application deployment and support specialists.

  • Prerequisites:
    Students should have experience with some phase of providing IT services within an organization (e.g. help desk, problem resolution, defining services, writing SLAs).
