We are recruiting for a high-energy, self-motivated individual to support the Learning & Development organization of a client in Northern Virginia. The Training Coordinator works closely with technical managers and training directors to develop the training program. Ability to promote classes and encourage attendance is key. Close attention to detail is needed to register students and provide accurate reporting.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to the internal Learning & Development organization that supports the IT and software development staff.
- Identify/analyze training needs: skills, technology and tools to train
- Administer an instructionally sound training plan in conjunction with company stakeholders and vendors: identify training module and tracks, support various delivery modes (traditional and alternative delivery technologies), rollout training plan with dates, schedule and administer training rooms, coordinate trainers, maintain Excel spreadsheets for needs and budget tracking, administer training data in company learning management system (LMS)
- Communicate training program progress (including status reports) and training opportunities; evangelize importance of new tools, training, etc.
- Manage delivery of training sessions: communicate training dates, manage training registration, logistics, facilities, room set up, etc.
- Administer and distribute “learning credits” and provide information to HR and Accounting as necessary.
- Evaluate and assess effectiveness of training initiative
Qualifications:
- Experience/background in training administration
- Experience conducting learning needs evaluations.
- Proficient at Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Experienced with project management, including budget management
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication (all levels of an organization)
- Outstanding time management and organization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with little supervision and to meet deadlines
- Selected candidate will undergo an extensive Background Check.
