WestLake offers its clients several choices for delivery of our courses, including on-site technical training and classes in a virtual educational classroom.

Customized On-Site Technical Training

Our dedicated hands-on on-site technical training is customized to meet specific objectives within specific environments. We will counsel with you to design and adapt our course titles so content is perfectly matched to your specific environment or enterprise. Much of WestLake's courseware is written in discrete modules. This way, classes can easily and effectively be modified and delivered to your specifications. In fact, you can do this yourself by reviewing these content modules to rearrange, change, delete or add them in the sequence that best fits your training objectives.

WestLake delivers its customized on-site technical training classes in a dedicated environment at customer locations. This way, customized content is applicable to all students, resulting in a deeper understanding of the concepts. Customized learning can also be delivered to your staff virtually through our virtual educational classroom, as well as in our classrooms in any of our locations.

Learning in Our Virtual Educational Classroom

For years we've all been waiting for eLearning to proliferate and take hold the way the prognosticators have said it will. Many have experienced the convenience of self-paced asynchronous training, but all too often students find reasons not to complete the course, or if they do, not to take another one. It seems that nothing has replaced the dynamics and interaction of the instructor-led classroom experience.

WestLake's Virtual Educational Classroom, however, combines the spontaneity and effectiveness of instructor-led classroom training with the efficiencies of eLearning. By utilizing the full functionality of collaboration software, WestLake has learned to replicate the benefit of the classroom with highly effective and interactive technical training, delivered real-time over the Internet. For over three years, WestLake has provided a consistent schedule of Virtual Educational Classroom courses to a well-known defense contractor. In doing so, WestLake has perfected the unique methodologies necessary to deliver effective training featuring all the elements of a live WestLake class. All WestLake Virtual Educational Classroom courses are instructor-led, and include the same lab intensity that you would find with our on-site technical training.

WestLake Jam Sessions

Designed to address specific skills gaps, these dedicated classes are short instructor-led virtual classroom sessions. Each Jam Session consists of three elements:

1. a two-hour virtual educational classroom lecture
2. a lab-intensive, self-study segment that students work on during their own time
3. a live, instructor-led virtual two-hour recitation to evaluate the student's work, clarify concepts, and answer questions

By blending instructor-led sessions with self-paced training, Jam Sessions provide targeted, technical training while keeping your employees billable and meeting their deadlines.
